About

local history available here.

The Irvington Historical Society has collected and preserved history for greater Irvington, and the east side of Indianapolis since 1964.

With the Bona Thompson Center as our home, beginning in 2000, we have been able to exhibit historical objects to form a connection between Irvington’s past and its present. Our museum is available to the public without admission.

The Irvington Historical Society, a 501(c)(3) organization, relies on donors & volunteers to fulfill its mission to collect, preserve, and connect Irvington’s past to its present.
